ACC Partners:: The Returning President’s 4F Full Update and Ministry Openings!

Greetings Friends across the World,
I am back from a very good sabbatical and rejoice in how the staff and faculty have served well in my absence. They did so well I almost didn’t have to come back! Thanks to many of you who prayed and met us along the way as we walked some new paths, were honored to serve in a variety of ways, re-prioritized our family and life, and finally got much need rest. I am excited to be back full steam and wish to say a huge thank you especially to the soon to be married Jeff Siemers, who served as acting president in my absence. Now for the great stuff that you can pray for and respond to as a partner in our ministry!
Freshmen- We have said a tearful goodbye to our sixth class of students. Many this summer will serve at Bible camp, find summer work, berry pick and fish/hunt, and a team of 8 has toured Minnesota with great success of sharing our story in 14 churches. Their reports are overwhelming as to how they have been received and cared for. It is a unique blessing to have that many Native Alaskans in one place in MN! Pray for the commitments many new students will make in coming this fall and for the apparent largest ever second year class applying for ACC and the Kenai Peninsula College next year!
Faculty- Yes, Jeff Siemers and Cheryl Davis are to be wed in Cutler, ME on June 16- Deb and I and other ACC’ers will have the privilege of being in the wedding with them. To add to our joy and sadness, Andrea Corens is also marrying our Alaskan ex-youth pastor friend Adam Wilson on July 28th in Minneapolis area and we will also be there as well. I share sadness in that Andrea will be moving to Anchorage and leaving our team after three great and giving years as our Director of Student Life. We are searching now to replace her position as well as 2 female RA’s and a new position in the facilities department to work with our existing Director of Facilities. If you are aware of any people who would be able to serve in these areas, please contact me by email. Finally, we also have new position opening for a Business Manager to oversee all the business affairs of the College. A great fit would be a retired CPA or business manager who has skill in the financial area. Pray with us for men and women to be called by God to join our team to keep ACC operationally smooth!
Facility- We are open! We received our approval from the Dept. of Environmental Conservation and had our grand opening graduation weekend. Attached is a picture of the festivities! We are grateful for five work teams coming this summer to finish the basement portion of the Peninsula Conference Center to add 10 more beds for our male housing! We are in desperate need of sheetrock finishers this summer! Pray for a completed dormitory downstairs in the PCC and also all items in the dining hall to be funded. It is a marvelous testament of God’s provision!
Finances- As we enter our summer, we are aware that our trend has been for decreased giving. Please continue to remember our passion for reaching Alaskans this summer! We have closed our account from the federal grant and no longer have access to those funds this coming year. WE TRUST the Lord for all His provision of needed personnel and gifts that many will offer as a thanks to God for His goodness in our lives as He has provided for us! He is so GOOD!
One word that describes my sabbatical is rhythm. The new rhythm that my family has begun is healthy and helpful for us as we seek to follow Christ here. I pray that you have a rhythm filled with hope and joy as you look ahead to a summer of time to refresh and reflect as well. We are so grateful for your partnership, most of you since our inception in 2000. To God be the glory, great things He has done!
Quyana,
Keith J. Hamilton
