India

How do you work in the dark?

Tradition says that the Apostle Thomas spent some time in southern India. The church there has deep roots, but spiritual darkness has ensnared many millions of people there.

You turn on the lights.

WorshipThe strongholds of our Enemy hold sway over millions of people around the world, but the light of the gospel is breaking them down, one by one as people realize that Jesus’ love is for them too, and that they have been created for intimacy with God. The India ministry is very diverse, including support to evangelistic efforts, church planting, and helping to meet the needs we encounter as we minister together with local Indian nationals. Short-term ministry trips usually result in feelings of receiving more than you give, and travelers are frequently left wondering what they could possibly offer believers who show such strength in the face of the power of the enemy.

How Can I Get Involved?

School AssemblyPray: The lifeblood of the entire India ministry is prayer. Pray that strongholds in the north and south will be broken as God makes new inroads into areas not penetrated by the gospel. Pray for Christian pastors that work hard every day to meet the physical and spiritual needs of so many people. Give: This ministry is directly supported by the church, but your help is needed to provide support for short-term workers on a project-by-project basis. If you wish to help with a specific project, place your contributions in offering containers at FCC, and mark them for the project or short-term worker you are supporting. The funds will go directly to their ministry account. If you prefer, funds can be mailed directly to the Mission Department at FCC, at the following address: Faith Christian Community Mission Department 4240 Wisconsin St Anchorage, AK 99517 Be sure to write the name of the individual or ministry project in the memo portion of your check.
