Urgent news from John & Kunjamma in Kerala, India. There is an epidemic there affecting the entire state and they need our partnership.

Dear Ones,

After 3 months we are in our home. We arrived safely. The believers and the family members were so happy to see us.

It was a very fruitful trip which we made to U.S.A. Even if it was little longer, God was blessing us in each every place. We thank and praise the Lord. We are so happy to see the interest of the Christians towards the mission work. We are so thankful to each and every one who are behind this work. Our great God is really blessing this work. Please pray for us and the work here. On behalf of the Christians we are sending love and greetings.

The Church people are in a great trouble because of the chikungunya epidemic fever. The after effects are very bad and most of the people can not work. In most of the houses all are down with fever. They have been affected for more over a month.

All these people are daily wage earners. About 4$ (Rs.150/-) a day is maximum they get, if they get work. As it is, rainy seasons are very difficult for them because of scarcity of work. They try to save money during summer for the monsoon. This year, they had to spend all the money & much more for medicine. They are in debt and starvation. The local churches are doing the maximum. But when 99% of the people in the church are down with fever there is little that they can do. We all here at the mission are doing our maximum, but it is not even nearly enough.

Together with this we had a very heavy mansoon, land slides and flooding all over the State. All the educational institutions are closed. People are suffering from these things and many people are in poverty.

IDES from Kempton U.S.A sent some money and I am using that money to buy the medicines and food for our church people in different areas.

Please pray for our place and especially for the Christians who are in the midst of these problems. We appreciate any help that we get for this.
