God Answers our Prayers
Madurese of East Java, Newsletter - June 2007
Once a man receives Jesus and surrendered his live totally to Him, he experiences mind transformation, healing, bliss and hope.
A man named Bondan with all his family members, were baptized on December 2006. They shared many encouraging testimonies, and the following is one of them.

“God Answers our Prayers”
It’s been six years now since Saidah left Bondan’s family. Saidah is a lovely daughter who works as a female worker overseas. Bondan never received news or mail from her. The parents were deeply concerned about the condition of the daughter, and they kept on wondering: Does she make it well with the job? How good is her health now? Does she eat enough? Does she miss us here? And so on.
“We give up about her. My daughter disappeared, swept out in the wind,” Mrs. Bondan told her bitter story with tears rolling down her cheeks. At that time, the family hadn’t heard about Jesus.
Months passed, and the church planting team wins the family for Christ. On December 2006, the family was baptized as sign of their belief to Jesus. They prayed for Saidah and hoped that one day they will hear about her. They didn’t quit the hope, because they believed that God answers prayers.
About five months after their baptizing ceremony, in a bright sunny day, a neighbor runs into their house. From afar he yelled, “Brother Bondan…. You’ve got a letter…. A letter…. a letter from Saidah your daughter. It’s for you!” said the man with gasping breath.
“Is it true, a letter from Saidah? Let me see…” said Bondan curiously. He snatched the letter as he wanted to show it right away to his wife. The parents’ eyes were wet with tears.
When our CP team visited them later in the afternoon, they asked us to read the letter loudly for them. Their faces were shining with joy. Our hearts were also touched.
Saidah wrote about her sufferings of 6 years living away from home. Life was not easy for her. Quite amazingly, her mood felt much better lately and she was more optimistic to bear life problems. Bondan’s family never stopped thanking Jesus while we were reading the letter.
”Dear Mom and Dad, please forgive your daughter for not sending any news until now. I do really miss all of you,” Saidah closed the letter with the remark.
Although Bondan and his wife felt truly pitiful for her suffering there, they still praise the Lord for knowing that Saidah is still alive. It makes them peaceful at last.
”Truly my soul silently waits for God, for He hears my prayers and answers them as long as I surrender to Him,” said Mrs. Bondan as she wept off her tears.

We believe that Saidah got her strength from the tireless prayers of her parents here.
That’s how their faith grows day by day in Christ, by having such encouraging experiences*****
