Russia/Sakhalin
How do you grow a Russian church?
Our neighbors in Russia have suffered generations of religious, political, social and economic disaster. God has uniquely connectedus with them in a partnership that has brought healing and wholeness to our dear brothers and sisters.
Just be a friend.
Sakhalin Island is an area rich in both natural and spiritual resources. It’s the home of our good friends Alexei Zanin and Anatoli Lyashok, who have been working in the area for many years.
How Can I Get Involved?
Pray: The needs in Russia are great. The Russian Far East, like many places in Alaska, has a high rate of alcoholism. Internet and other pornography is a growing concern. They have a deep passion for those around them who don’t yet know Jesus. Pray for our brothers and sisters as they work to be a light to their neighbors.
Give: This ministry is supported financially by the partnership of four churches in Anchorage with another in the lower 48 and the donations of ministry partners just like you who have a heart for the work, whom God has called to help on a one-time or regular basis. If you wish to help, place your contributions in offering containers at FCC, and mark them “Sakhalin Ministry”. The funds will go directly to the Sakhalin ministry account. If you prefer, funds can be mailed directly to the Mission Department at FCC, at the following address:

Be sure to write “Sakhalin Ministry” in the memo portion of your check.
