Lyashok Anatolii, June 2007 Report

Report about the work done in June 2007

From Lyashok Anatolii

Revival church, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

June was full of good events.

1.      Our church was visited by the head of Bible College from Khabarovsk – Vladislav Tuytuynik. I had several personal conversations with him. Also Vladislav preached in the church, led the seminars for the believers and for church elders. The believers and I have good remembrance about him. Everyone got good encouragement from this brother.

2.      In June two brothers visited our church – one brother Ken the head of SEND Mission and youth pastor Kevin from USA. Brothers also served by the Word to the church.

3.      On June 12th all the church went to the nature. There were about 60 people. God gave us a wonderful day – it was warm, even hot. We had good rest and communication. We had personal conversations, sport games, swimming in the river, tasty fish soup. It was another testimony for the unbelievers about Christian life and faith.

4.      On June 16th we had clean-up day. There were about 30 people from the church. We removed mud and garbage around the church the territory. The city government doesn’t have enough finances to keep the city clean, so we decided to clean the city ourselves and we really worked hard. We removed the garbage from areas near the church. We took out 6 big cars of garbage. Then we infirmed the city government that we cleaned the territory. People who saw us it was a great testimony. And of course it became cleaner and better on the way to the church (around the church).

5.      On June 23rd there was a wedding in the church. No doubt it was a great joy for the church. We thank the Lord for one more Christian family. Also two more ladies moved to USA in June and there will be two weddings – one in August another later.

6.      With God’s help in June we started to put our church building into operation. We pray so that there will be less rebukes we need to fix, so that this process was simple for us, so that we finally could get government permission to use the church building. Please pray about this. Still we don’t know how much time this process will take, but we do know it will take several months. Also we will need funds for this.

7.     As usually I led the church service, meetings, and conversations and taught the lessons, also prayed. I had to solve several difficult questions and problems but with God’s help we are moving forward.  On July 15th we will have a very important congregation meeting – we will vote for new church elders and for new people who will lead other ministries in the church. That’s why I have to pray a lot about it and think over different questions.

8.      Every week we make preparations for the Kids Christian Camp which will start on August 1st.

9.      There is a joy about the study of our children. My daughter and my son finished the first year of school with good results. They had to pass exams in June and we were concerned about it. But with God’s help they pass all their exams well. Now they have vacation, help in the church and getting ready to go and serve in the camp.
