Thailand

What’s it About?

The Thailand ministry encompasses a variety of sub-ministries all under the leadership of North Thailand Christian Mission. Here are a few of the ministries we are involved with in Thailand.

EDEN Center
The EDEN Center exists to provide a rural base of operations for training local tribal villagers in a variety of agricultural and pastoral skills. An ongoing issue among villages in north Thailand is opium addiction, and the EDEN center provides training on alternative cash crops, as well as opium detoxification. The EDEN Center also provides a training base for evangelists and other church leaders, as well as a school for youth.

Village Work
The primary focus of the Thailand ministry is to teach local villagers about Jesus Christ. The village ministry is conducted under the leadership of local tribal Christian leaders, and involves evangelism, church planting and leadership development. This is truly an indigenous work, with western partner churches providing the bulk of the funding for pastors’ salaries and projects designed to meet the physical needs of local people who do not have the resources to provide for themselves.

How Can I Get Involved?

A great way to be involved in the Thailand ministry is to serve on the ministry team. Another way is to participate in a short-term mission team to Thailand. Mission projects in Thailand are conducted as needed, with some projects focused on construction and others focused on evangelistic work.
